A 'Meating' of Minds - 4th November 2010
On Thursday 21st October, Aubrey Allen Chairman Peter Allen joined Dr Chris Calkins, Professor of Meat Science from the University of Nebraska to speak with 400 farmers at the Chesford Grange Hotel at a conference organised by EBLEX.
Peter spoke to the farmers about the importance in considering the end product before they start to select cattle for breeding and to keep it in mind throughout the husbandry and rearing.
Sharing Peter’s passion for meat, Dr Calkins also enjoyed a tour of the Aubrey Allen Headquarters and we had a great exchange of information. Further inspired by this meeting of minds, Aubrey Allen will be organising a ‘Menu Inspiration Day’ in January in order to consult with our customers to create unique and distinctive cuts to help set our customers apart from ‘the others’ and to help them beat the VAT rises.
