The historic estates of Wootton and Daylesford cover 7000 acres of beautiful countryside in Staffordshire and Gloucestershire. Owned and preserved by the Bamford family, they not only offer some of the best arable and grazing land in the country – they are a model of excellence in organic farming. The estates are preserved as an entirely unpolluted rural environment – with lush and fertile grazing for free-roaming herd of deer.
Wootton Organic know it takes years of hard work, and strict procedures, to be able to guarantee quality. In addition to their Soil Association accreditation, their BDFA-accredited herd of deer is of such pedigree they have produced Supreme Champions at the National Prime Stock and Royal Smithfield shows; they’re especially proud of the fact that whereas wild venison can be tough and variable in flavour, the Wootton Organic farmed venison has the juiciness and taste discerning customers expect.
