Welcome to the future of food learning. 2017 saw the launch of our dedicated ‘inspiration and collaboration’ facility… Aubrey’s Academy
We truly believe the future of our industry relies on innovation and the sharing of knowledge. Aubrey Allen are the first butchers in the UK to invest in such a facility and we’d like to invite everyone to use it to the benefit of their own business and the industry as a whole.
We’ll be using Aubrey’s Academy as a base for our own events, butchery schools and training, as well as making it our ‘innovation hub’ for product development. Featuring restaurant specification kitchens and special dry-aging facilities, we’ll be working hard with customers to explore new techniques and ingredients to ensure their menus and the food they serve is relevant to future trends, compelling for the diner and profitable for their businesses.
The academy is also available for private hire. Whether it’s for training workshops, team-building days, product launches or off-site meetings we’re confident you’ll find Aubrey’s Academy well equipped, comfortable, welcoming and cost-effective. Feel free to do your own thing, or call on us for audio visual equipment hire, outstanding catering (of course) and bespoke team exercises including team building events and butchery classes.

Apprenticeships
Transforming the apprenticeship training system for butchers in the UK.
Aubrey Allen has played a key role in pioneering the apprenticeship standard for the butchery industry. Our apprenticeship standard replaces old frameworks as part of the Government’s employer driven Trailblazer Strategy. Since 2010 there have been 1.8 million apprenticeship starts and the Butchery Trailblazer is leading by example in the development and delivery of high quality apprenticeships that give apprentices the skills, knowledge and behaviours we require and the opportunity to develop successful careers. The new standard has maintained the heritage and history of the art of butchery whilst delivering a modern day apprenticeship. It gives the opportunity to develop excellence for the future sustainability and growth of the meat industry.
